When the pool was rebuilt 10 years ago, the decision was made to keep the diving boards that we had at the time as they were in good condition. We have rehabbed, refinished, and done everything we could to maintain the boards since then. After consultation with the Pool Board and having the boards evaluated, it is time for Robin Hood to get new Diving Boards.
The Pool Board has allocated funds from the Capital Improvement Fund to have the bases, stairs, and handrails recoated so they can be used again. We will be adding additional hand rails to one of the boards and will be leveling the boards so they are the same height.
Our new Diving Boards will be Maxiflex-16 Model B Springboards (commonly referred as "Cheeseboards"). These are the boards used in most competitive diving meets. Each diving board costs approximately $6,500.
